Bishop Olivier and Our Lady of the Smile charity team from Chamkar Teang Catholic Community , Kus Commune, Tram Kak District, Takeo Province, visited 6 families in quarantine, located in Trapeang Pring village, Kus commune, Tram Kak district, Takeo province.
During the visit, Bishop Olivier give some food to support each family :

  • 50 kg of rice
  • 2 chickens and pork
  • 1 box of noodles
  • 1 box of fish cans
  • Mango 10 kg
  • pure water and juice
  • 50 chicken eggs
  • coconut candies
  • handmade cookies
  • 2 boxes of mango jam
  • Spices (garlic, pepper, cooking oil)
  • 200,000 Riels for Khmer New Year
  • Bishop Olivier have encouraged them and advised them on hygiene and health care as well wished the six families by asking God to bless them and keep them safety.

The Traeng Trayeng Parish solemnly inaugurated a new activity building under the presidency of Bishop Olivier Schmitthaeusler, Apostolic Vicar of Phnom Penh, accompanied by Bishop Pierre Suon Hangly, Coadjutor Bishop of the Apostolic Vicariate of Phnom Penh, together with numerous priests. The ceremony was held on December 13 in Traeng Trayeng Commune, Phnom Sruoch District, Kampong Speu Province, to support and enhance the pastoral mission and activities of Saint Martin Church of this parish.

In the context of the conflict between Cambodia and Thailand, Bishop Olivier urged the faithful to pray and to continue works of charity. He said,
