On March 5, 2014, the Don Bosco school for women at Teuk Thla celebrated Ash Wednesday Mass. A congregation of more than 80 made up of the Salesian Sisters ,staff and students attended and Bishop Olivier was the celebrant. Ash Wednesday begins the season of Lent, a time for each of us to repent,pray,give alms and to fast.

The Traeng Trayeng Parish solemnly inaugurated a new activity building under the presidency of Bishop Olivier Schmitthaeusler, Apostolic Vicar of Phnom Penh, accompanied by Bishop Pierre Suon Hangly, Coadjutor Bishop of the Apostolic Vicariate of Phnom Penh, together with numerous priests. The ceremony was held on December 13 in Traeng Trayeng Commune, Phnom Sruoch District, Kampong Speu Province, to support and enhance the pastoral mission and activities of Saint Martin Church of this parish.
In the context of the conflict between Cambodia and Thailand, Bishop Olivier urged the faithful to pray and to continue works of charity. He said,
