On 4 May 2019, the leaders of Young Scouts in Our Lady of the Smile parish in Chamkar Teang visited children at the Primary Schools of Angk Montrey and Nykrou Theaream and brought along 250 books, 200 pens and 200 pencils to be distributed to the schools for the children who are in need of study materials.

The Traeng Trayeng Parish solemnly inaugurated a new activity building under the presidency of Bishop Olivier Schmitthaeusler, Apostolic Vicar of Phnom Penh, accompanied by Bishop Pierre Suon Hangly, Coadjutor Bishop of the Apostolic Vicariate of Phnom Penh, together with numerous priests. The ceremony was held on December 13 in Traeng Trayeng Commune, Phnom Sruoch District, Kampong Speu Province, to support and enhance the pastoral mission and activities of Saint Martin Church of this parish.

In the context of the conflict between Cambodia and Thailand, Bishop Olivier urged the faithful to pray and to continue works of charity. He said,
